In preparation for the United Nations Secretary-General’s September 23rd Climate Action Summit in 2019, 4SD were a supporting institution of the Nature Based Solutions (NBS) track, co-led by China and New Zealand. As a result, the Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Manifesto was launched.

It is considered as a plan to unlock the full potential of nature for climate action, with the support of more than 70 governments, private sector, civil society and international organizations, accompanied by nearly 200 initiatives and best practices from around the world.
